Welcome
I started this blog after moving to northern New Mexico from coastal North Carolina. Feeling the loss of my creative community, I started posting works in progress as a way to push myself forward and connect with other writers and painters.
For the first eight months or so I offered original narrative images as weekly image prompt for writers. The Storybook Collaborative pages document the collaborations.
Sadly - for I have enjoyed the adventure, and meeting so many interesting, creative souls - keeping the blog has has taken a back seat to sleep, family, work obligations and the birth of our Mountain daughters. I'd like to get back to it and still hope to one day. Until such time I am delighted by your visit and hope you will leave a comment and come back for more.
okay, we’re on our way!

One can only assume this heading sans message is the signal that Naomi has started her serious labor pains. So the child is on its way, the midwife has been called, or you headed for a maternity ward. In any case, good on both of you, and we all cross our fingers until the knuckles bleed hoping and praying that the July 4th child is a world shaker and infant of light.

Will it be a daughter or son? Does Broadus care? We know what Rick wants. By now, probably, the truth is out there, but it has not filtered down to the bloggers who wait. Health and happiness to you and your wonderul growing family unit. At the Blind Rehab Clinic at the VA Tacoma, at American Lake, one of my students turned 82 today. He said that to be born on the Fourth of July is magical, unlike the Tom Cruise movie and Viet Nam book. I was born on June 14th, Flag Day, but it pales in the presence of a child who drops in on Independence Day, enit?
