Welcome
This site is a work in progress, a place to post my work and reflections and, on the Storybook Collaborative page, to post the work of others using the images collaboratively.
Although much of my painting could be called narrative, I don't always take the time to find the stories. So it is a pleasure to see them used as writing prompts, and to link to the stories, poetry and myths others find in the paintings.
The PAGES column below contains links to my writing, to the Collaborative Storybook and a sampling of Favorites, to my Artist Website, and to my New Mexico Storyboards blog.
I am not presently posting weekly image prompts. I am returning to this blog after a long hiatus and I am enjoying just watching it evolve.
As always, all are welcome here, and any who wish to do so may use the images in their own non-commercial work. Just please give credit and link back so others can visit and see what you do.
I'll be delighted if you leave a comment and come back for more. If you'd like to stay up to date, you can subscribe to my RSS feed by clicking on the orange icon below.

Love this one, well I love them all, but each one deserves its own nodd. Hope you’re good, hi to Naomi, bubbs and B. I’ll hopefully have some time this weekend to play this one.

Well, it is nice to be first on the commentors list for this incredible painting. My morning has been donated to the pursuit of it.

Here’s my take on the picture: memories
Again, I am late to the party, not in chaos, but in praise.
I am loving the photos you share! They give us a real intimacy even thru cyberspace.

Thanks for yet another fabulous work of art, Rick.
Thank you every one for the notes and responses to the image prompt. I am just unwinding from a 3 day drive across the U.S. south. And Texas. Hard to imaging what it would be like growing up on those plains.
I am looking forward to reading your works and will post them tonight, I hope, or as soon as I can. The painting was a fun collaboration with Broadus, who was seven at the time. It will be interesting to see what the image has prompted.
Best wishes,
Rick
