Here is this week’s Thursday image prompt. Take in whatever direction you wish, and enjoy. Follow this link to the storybook collaborative for an easy to follow guide to images and writing thus far. This is open to everyone. The more, the merrier. Peace and strength.
p.s. BABY UPDATE
Naomi and Broadus and I want to sincerely thank the many people who have inquired about the coming addition to the family and offered their prayers and have wished us well. The mid-wife says it will be next week, but Naomi says, “I think it will be sooner…”
Will definitely keep you posted. We are getting girl vibes, but who knows?
. the daughter by yours truly
. the kiss, by nan-de
. sometimes love sustains us, from Z, who’s post is for everyone to see, but her blog is for adults only.
. spring, from piece of pie ala mode
. a dream of fire and air, by niebla

Thanks for doing the other site, I’ve linked to it, it looks great and is a cool idea (now maybe we can see more of your amazing writing here, hint hint….you know, when you get time to breathe
)
Still sending my eeeeezzzzzzzz labour vibes.

I had kind of forgotten about ecphrasis writing. Your prompts are great way to recall that. Thanks!
Here is my very raw offering:

This wonderful painting, with themes of Love, was already on your site a while ago. I responded to it strongly. I used it to illustrate some HEART musical lyrics on FFTR. I have shamelessly used over a dozen of your images on various things on the site. I just can’t get enough of MOBBSISTROKIA.
The full moon has come and and now is on the narrower side, and it did not pull hard enough on your soontobe child to facilitate an appearance, an emergence. That’s cool, who wants a lunatic child, enit?
Glenn
I loved this painting – I printed it out, and put it in the pocket of my writing notebook, just as a friend walked through my room. So this came out.
(Also sending best everythings for the baby, and her/his family)
do i put it here or over there… shall i place it in both places and wish for the best… spring … it is a lovely thursday prompt… wishing your family well during the birth of your coming daughter…
I think an appropriate name for a baby girl would be Angela.
Just my two cents.
Gotta go with the wife on the drop time, the husband on the gender and Angry on the name (or some form of the word angelic, anyways).
Great painting this week, unfortunately I’m now over a week behind. (Maybe by the time your new bleesing arrives I’ll have something for y’all)
Blessed be.
Lovely painting.
I hope it is a girl. They’re so awesome.
Gosh, Angela would be appropriate, likewise Anjelene, Anjelica, Angie, Jelene, Angele, Angelos, Celeste, Angeleno, Angelinus, Jelica, Ange, and Wyng. But if it turns out to be a boychild, then there are all those Greek and Norse Gods, enit?
Or perhaps you have another friend or mentor whose name would have the resonance of “Broadus”, the greatest handle in creation. Broadus Mobbs–my God, he can become anything or anyone he wants. The universe is already blessing him with artists for parents.
Glenn
I just thought I would pass on something that Allen Ginsberg once said: “Poets are damned, but see with the eyes of angels.”

Looks like I started a trend!
Dear Rick, Hello again after a long pause. This image is so gorgeous, who could resist “the kiss”?
Many well wishes to you and your family on the imminent arrival of your new one…
